What People Don’t Realize About Weight Loss Programs

There are MANY weight loss programs on the market today as well as weight loss tips available for every type of person out there. It is common knowledge that the choices in how to lose weight can differ depending on a variety of factors, one being the body type. One thing that people must realize when it comes to dieting and loss is that success depends upon the uniqueness of each person. We are all different.

Diet Pills: Research shows that there are many people who can’t consume diet pills for weight loss yet many try anyways.  Just do a search and you’ll find tons of pills to help you get skinny.   For example, people who take medications for things like diabetes could have problems with diet pills. All kinds of reactions can happen to people on medication so always consult with your physician if you plan to take any kind of diet pill.

Some people even resort to diuretics to lose water weight and this type of diet may be used to lose weight and show quick results. Hopefully, it goes without saying, it is unhealthy way to lose weight by consuming diet pills because they can actually suppress the functions of the liver.

Metabolism boosters:  I’ve tried several “weight loss pills” that supposedly fire up the metabolism but for me personally, I can’t handle them. The thermogenic component of these types of pills actually make me sick. I’m sure I’m not alone.

The body of the person taking diet pills can also become so addicted to the stimulants that the body seeks to absorb the diet pill into the system for burning off the calories.  Sadly, this can backfire and may only lead to a much higher rate of gain weight. Obviously not the desired outcome.

Diets and diet pills are both a form of losing weight but I don’t believe this is the best way to overall healthy and long term goal of keeping weight off.

Losing weight should be a slow and steady process. Sure, losing weight fast makes us happy, but is it healthy?  It’s important to understand that some diets, combined with diet pills, can be very detrimental to your health.

Appetite Suppressants: designed to suppress appetite so you don’t want to eat as much. They work as a mechanism to keep the calorie intake to a minimum as a means of suppressing the appetite of the person who is consuming the pills. This doesn’t mean you don’t eat at all, or you just eat garbage when you do it.  These pills might be helpful, but you have to be sure to eat healthy foods when you do eat.

Diet pills do not focus on the healthy food, nutrition and exercise and they do not create proper eating habits that last a lifetime.

Low Carb :Many people go with a low carbohydrate diet plan and this can be a good choice for losing weight. A low carbohydrate diet will encourage the person to restrict their food intake of high carbohydrate foods which can eventually result in the person shedding pounds.  This is NOT an easy diet plan to follow however. If you’ve ever done it, you know what I mean.

Carb Loading: There are also many diet plans that use carbohydrates as their main source of energy. While using a diet that consists of carbohydrates as its main source of energy might be a good option for losing weight, it is important to note that people who can eat this way are more likely to be very active, even athletes.  Personally, I can’t even look at carbohydrates without gaining weight. They just have that effect on me.

As I conclude, the fact is, there are many varieties of weight loss programs on the market today.  You must consider your body, your lifestyle, your goals and how practical the diet is for you and your life.

I’ve tried all kinds of diets, and for me personally, it came down to eating less, moving more, and focusing on healthy eating.

After developing a wheat and dairy allergy over the last few years, I decided to find better ways to eat to feel better. Although I DO eat meat, I often seek out GF Vegan diet to avoid dairy and eggs (my new allergy lately). I hope you enjoy the variety of articles shared here.
